This website (hgsmaths.com) is run by the Mathematics Department of King Edward VI Handsworth Grammar School for Boys to provide learning and revision resources for our pupils. The school is the data controller. This policy explains how this particular site handles information; it sits alongside the school's overarching privacy and data-protection policies.

Information we collect

This is an informational resource site. It has no pupil accounts and no sign-up or contact forms, so we do not ask you for or store personal details such as your name, email address or marks.

• Server logs. Like most websites, our web server automatically records basic technical information for security and diagnostics — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. These logs are kept only for a short period and are not used to identify individuals.
• Staff area. The staff login area sets a single session cookie so a signed-in member of staff stays logged in for that visit. No personal data is stored.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookie this site may set is a temporary session cookie used by the staff login area, which is deleted when the browser session ends.
